The Woods and Wanton Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers is looking for dynamic, friendly, high achieving women to become the next Queen of the Buffalo Soldiers.  If you are interested in promoting the history of the Buffalo Soldiers and supporting our local chapter endeavors, you are encouraged to participate in our annual coronation.

The Buffalo Soldiers Queen represents the Buffalo Soldiers at community functions and social events that are part of the Chapter’s schedule.  These events include educational events at schools, churches, parades, national reunion, social galas, and parties.  The Buffalo Soldiers Coronation, our formal gala and our largest fundraising affair.  This ball usually occurs the first Saturday of May, a historical period for the Buffalo Soldiers in the Tampa Bay area.

In addition to the community involvement and education, contestants solicit ads and sells tickets to vie for the title of queen.  Proceeds go toward scholarships for students and helps support our community activities. The contestant elected as queen is crowned at our annual ball.

If you think you are up to this challenge please contact Trooper Rose Norris 813/600-8374 or Trooper Toni Stokes 813/294-3060 (Former Queens).  All contestants will be informed of a formal orientation meeting.

Thank you for your interest.
